Butterfly Hugs
Today with Mrs. Fellegy, we made "butterfly hugs". We used a butterfly template, oil pastels, a hole punch and a pipe cleaner after looking at pictures of butterflies! We also learned about the word symmetrical.
We colored our butterfly cut outs with oil pastels and then "rubbed" the sides together to create a symmetrical image. We then filled in the colors to make them brighter.
After that, we hole punched holes into the middle and then inserted a pipe cleaner in order to wrap the butterflies around our fingers.
This project helped us collaborate with the upper school children on their butterfly hug mural to send hugs to the children in Israel. We also got to go see the butterfly hug mural after art class today!
