Today we discussed Tashlich as we prepare for Yom Kippur and how it takes place 10 days after Rosh Hashanah. We talked about how we always want to make sure we are doing mitzvahs and making our best choice! We discussed one representation of Yom Kippur is being a scale and we want our kind choices to outweigh (or to be more than) our not kind choices.
We used all kinds of different types of water invitations today to represent Tashlich.
We used a tub and covered it in fabric as our pond for Tashlic and used paper as our "bread"!
We also created a chart of kind and not kind choices so that way we could remember for the future! We talked about "Teshuva," saying "I'm sorry" whenever we make not so kind choices! We also talked about making better choices this year!
