During free play, the children were invited to choose their favorite insect of three options: a ladybug, a snail, and a bumble bee. The children wrote their name in the box of their favorite.
After choosing our favorite insect, the children and teachers worked in a large group to count the amount of people that like each one. Five friends like the ladybug best, 2 friends like the snail best and 3 friends like the bumble bee best. After talking about how many friends like each insect and bug, the children practiced writing the number of the insect they chose.
