Today we created our self-portraits for January. During free play, children were invited to create a picture of themselves using a mirror as well as play with mat-man. The children created themselves during this time with the different pieces of mat-man.
Later in the day, we took time as a large group to create our self-portraits with mirrors, sharpies and a half sheet of paper. After this, we went to the atelier and created the background for our self-portraits with winter colored tissue paper, glue and cardstock. The children also wrote their names on an index card.
