December Self-Portraits

 Today we created our self-portraits for December. There was an invitation out for mat-man on the table during free play that the children could engage with. After snack, we talked about all the parts of our bodies and created mat-man. 

After creating mat-man as a large group, the children independently drew their self-portraits. After finishing their drawing, the counted the number of letters in their name and picked out that many circles. To write their name, children wrote one letter on each circle.
